Health - Rogaine For Hair Loss

Using Rogaine for Hair Loss

If you are suffering from losing your hair, there are treatments available that effectively stop your hair loss and grow back your own hair again. While there are many over the counter remedies available, none of them have been studied and proven to work as much as Rogaine, which contains Minoxodil.

Minoxodil is the active ingredient of Rogaine. Rogaine is not only for men losing their hair, but women can also regrow the hair that they have lost. Rogaine was first introduced in 1988 and was the first medically proven remedy against hair loss to be certified by the FDA.

One of the best ways to determine if you could benefit from Rogaine is to consider the following. You should use Rogaine for genetic hair loss only. If you are suffering hair loss due to another disease or ailment, then Rogaine will not work for you. You must also be over the age of 18 in order to use this product. Rogaine actually works on women, so if you notice some thinning, then this is an excellent remedy. For men, this product works the best on the crown of the head.

The product is easy to use. Since it is a topical solution, you only need to apply it directly to the head twice a day. Usually it will take a couple of months to see results, because it takes time for your hair to grow.

If you have any questions about Rogaine or Minoxodil, consult your physician or dermatologist.
